Karachi: Fear of administrative crisis has arisen in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) as the dispute between the federal employees of Jinnah Hospital and the contract, and permanent employees of Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) has intensified.

On Thursday, the Sindh High Court has also suspended the promotion of Professor Dr. Kausar in BPS-20 on allegations of illegality in it.  Dr. Sulaiman and Dr. Yahya Tunio approached the court against the promotion of Dr. Kausar.  The Sindh High Court has also summoned all the parties on December 18. According to the sources, the issue of illegal promotions and capturing top positions in Jinnah hospital has become serious and the employees have started taking revenge on each other by leaking their illegal or corrupt practices.

After the press conference of Professor Shahid Rasul, the affairs of the hospital have become more complicated. The appointment of Professor Shahid Rasul has been challenged by faculty members Dr. Nazish and Dr. Irum.  According to sources, Dr. Kausar has already filed a case against Dr. Sulaiman's expected promotion. It's also noticed that Dr. Sulaiman illegally writes himself as Joint Executive Director despite being Deputy Executive Director. According to sources, most of the Jinnah hospital faculty are in court against each other. Owing to the situation, Professor Jahan Alam is now one of the senior most faculty member left undisputed and is likely to be appointed as executive director. Sources claim that Jinnah Sindh Medical University administration is also benefiting from the dispute as it wants complete control over Jinnah hospital. Promotion of 09 faculty members on a single day on December 3 is also part of the same plan, sources claimed.
