ISLAMABAD: FBR has cleared former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PTI founder Imran Khan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Maryam Nawaz, Sheba Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and others in tax matter in connection with election 2024 while completing their tax scrutiny.

 Sources told Online that FBR has completed scrutiny of those who have filed nomination papers under directive of Election Commission.

 According to scrutiny no tax dues of previous years are outstanding against these leaders. Nawaz Sharif kept on paying tax despite their self-exile. Issue of Rs 60,000 outstanding tax dues surfaced against Senate chairman Sadiq Sanjarani during scrutiny. Commissioner Income Tax office Hyderabad issued clearance chit to Chairman Senate after receipt of payment of tax was provided by Sadiq Sanjarani.
