KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that people of Pakistan do not recognise incumbent Parliament as it is product of ‘rigging’.

Addressing presser here, JUI-F Chief said that newly elected parliamentarians are not representatives of people but product of rigging. He said that General Elections 2024 is most ‘rigged’ polls in country’s history, vowing to carry out country-wide movement against same.

Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that general elections in 2018 were considered most ‘manipulated’ polls in county, adding that record was broken in 8th February elections.

He said that JUI-F would chalk out plan for country-wide movement against what he termed massive rigging in elections. He said that democracy and parliament are losing dignity after ‘massive rigging’ in elections. “Sindh and Balochistan assemblies were bought. Current rulers will not be recognised by people as they are product of rigging,” Maulana Fazalur Rehman said.

While rejecting election results across country, he said that they would go to Parliament with ‘severe’ reservations.

Earlier, he told Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples’ Party and other allies in centre that his party will not take part in formation of government.
