ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Democratic Movement Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, saying negotiations latter was an insult to Parliament.

Addressing press conference, Fazl said, “Court should clarify its position on whether it is Panchayat or court for real.

Court is asking PDM to hold talks with Imran Khan. Eentire process has been declared non-political. For how long will we be blackmailed by such matters?  “From which person should we negotiate? If Imran Khan really wanted elections, why did he not announce date for polls when he was in power”, he lamented.

Taking swipe at Imran Khan, Fazl said, “This person was of view that if he did not get two-thirds majority, he would not accept results of elections. Talking to him is like feeling contempt of whole political system and entire Parliament.

We do not see an inept person like him in terms of holding negotiations. We want Imran Khan out of country’s circle”.

Fazl rued, “For sake of providing protection to one person, entire nation has been insulted.” Undoubtedly, nation is dragged into quagmire. With depreciation of rupee, even cost to perform Haj has increased,” he maintained.

Speaking about death of former Minister Mufti Abdul Shakoor, he said, “Martyrdom of Mufti Abdul Shakoor is an accident.”
