ISLAMABAD: A local court sent PTI’s leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain to jail on judicial remand in an FIR regarding inciting public against ECP.

Judicial Magistrate Waqas Ahmed Raja heard case. Court was told that accused would be produced before it bit late due to closure of road in capital. Lawyer said that Fawad Chaudhry was taken to Lahore for forensic test. On request of defence lawyer, court ordered police to open handcuff of accused.

On query of court, prosecutor informed judge that purpose of photogrammetric test was identification of real person. He said that prosecution was required to recover laptop, mobile phone and other devices of accused.

ECP’s lawyer said that they just wanted photogrammetric test of accused and it had been done. Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer Dr. Baber Awan said that accused had admitted his statement. Prosecution had made fun of case, he added.

Lawyer said that prosecution had not practical grounds for more physical remand of his client. After hearing arguments, court sent accused jail on judicial remand. Court also allowed Fawad Chaudhry to meet his family members.
