Akhara is unique story with strong cast that managed to pull eye balls towards it. Inclusion of energy, action and sports added flare to drama and Faraz Farooqui was star whose character was most unexpected thing about Akhara and one of main reasons for its success.

As Akhara is coming to end, Faraz made some revelations about Akhara. Faraz shared that he picked this role as this allowed him to have unique character on screen, totally different from what is normally shown on television. He shared that he can look like genuine wrestler and is glad that hard work paid off.

Faraz spoke about why he picked up character with such limited screen time. He said that knew that death of Sultan would actually pick drama up and he decided to take on this character as he knew he would be able to pull it off.

He talked about how he and Feroze discussed all brotherly bonding scenes and Feroze told him that this will show people that Pakistani actors can also put in effort.
