Fake news major challenge worldwide: Info Minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said fake news is major challenge worldwide and there is need to devise code of conduct to check issue.

Talking to Political Counselor of British High Commission Zoe Ware, who called on him here both discussed matters related to bilateral cooperation in diverse fields including media, film and drama.

Minister urged journalists’ community to verify credibility of news stories especially on social media before their dissemination. Speaking on occasion, Political Counselor of British High Commission felicitated Attaullah Tarar on assuming office of Minister for Information and Broadcasting and assured her full cooperation in promoting Pak-UK ties in diverse fields.
