Leading film and television actor Faisal Qureshi says showbiz industry’s awards shows are often ‘politicised’. In recent interview, actor said artists are not acknowledged for their work through these awards rather these awards are given on bases of ‘personal relationships’ and ‘favoritism’.

He said show organisers, media channels and sponsor brands play vital role in these award shows. Anyone who gets an award should be backed by these factors.

Faisal Qureshi said ‘favorite’ artists are invited to these award shows and they are rewarded. He himself had been ‘favourite’ once but said that he doesn’t care anymore.
