Explosion in Jaffar Express claims two lives

CHICHAWATNI: An explosion in Jaffar Express near Chichawatni has left two persons dead and several injured. Explosion occurred in washroom of fourth bogie of train. 14 persons from Tableeghi Jamat were travelling in fourth bogie. Train was on its way from Quetta to Peshawar. On information police, rescue 1122 and other institutions rushed to scene. As per preliminary information explosion took place due to gas leakage. Passengers said explosion occurred as soon as train left Mian Chunnon. Passengers kept on pulling emergency chain but train staff did not pay any heed to it.

Bodies and injured persons shifted to hospital. Police started investigation and trying to ascertain nature of explosion.
