ISLAMABAD: The power tariff for K-electric consumers may increase by Rs 3.02 per unit once again, according to reports. K-Electric has requested a raise in quarterly adjustments for the period from April to June 2023.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will make a decision on this request and forward it to the federal government following a hearing.
In a previous development, NEPRA had already increased the power tariff for K-Electric consumers on monthly fuel adjustment charges, with prices rising by Rs 1.48 to Rs 4.45 after receiving federal government approval. This increased tariff would be applicable in October and November 2023, with varying rates for different categories of consumers.
