Speculations arose after the actress shared wedding photos near the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai, where her husband appeared in traditional Arabic attire. Some assumed Rashid was a Sheikh, while a local YouTuber claimed he worked for the CID department of Dubai Police. However, these rumors have now been debunked by Rashid’s brother. In an interview with a local media outlet, Samar Ranjha, Neelam’s brother-in-law, confirmed that Rashid’s family originates from Mianwal Ranjha, a village in Punjab, Pakistan. He clarified that Rashid is the second eldest of six siblings, with four brothers and two sisters. Samar also revealed that Rashid has been based in Dubai since 2006, where he runs a successful travel and tourism business, in addition to owning several cafes and restaurants in the city.

Further elaborating on their love story, Samar explained that Neelam and Rashid first met at a restaurant in Dubai, and their communication continued over social media. The couple dated for two and a half years before tying the knot. The wedding ceremony, which took place in Dubai, was a private and intimate affair attended only by close family members. Samar also shared that a grand valima reception will be held for the couple in their hometown next month.
