Ensuring law, order imperative to take country forward: Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that police serves as frontline force for maintenance of law and order and protection of lives and properties of people. Addressing passing out parade of constables here, he said that policing is sacred duty, expressing confidence that police personnel will dispense their duties with the spirit of serving masses.
He said that ensuring law and order is imperative to take country forward on path of progress and prosperity. Interior Minister said that recent induction in Islamabad police has been made purely on merit. He said Islamabad police should serve role model for all federating units and work with complete diligence and dedication to give sense of complete security to residents of capital. Rana Sanaullah emphasised for continuous training and capacity building of police personnel.
Interior Minister also highlighted steps taken for welfare of police personnel. He said that hospital is being constructed for them and their families in Islamabad at cost of five billion rupees.
