Energy projects launched in country under CPEC: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that investors started eyeing Pakistan following energy projects were launched under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) 10 years ago.
Addressing function here, he said that it was due to CPEC that Thar coal was used for producing electricity at cheaper rates. "China's Vice Prime Minister is one of founders of mega project," he said, adding, "Under CPEC, nine large industrial units had to be built in country by 2020."
He said that courtesy economic corridor, thousands of students from Pakistan go to China for education." Ahsan said that China had also invested in Chashma Nuclear Plant. Minister said that coalition government completed water project in Gwadar in just six months.
