Islamabad: Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani proposes global parliaments for constitution of committees on ‘Conflict Resolution’ and ‘Trade Promotion’. Addressing Inaugural plenary of World People’s Consultative Assembly Forum in Indonesia with representation by parliaments of Islamic World he said that all enemies of Islam successfully target us individually and collectively.
Despite fact that Islam bears message of tolerance and peace, yet myths and misconceptions, often with hidden geopolitical agendas, continue to dominate the media because we have repeatedly failed to act as a unit.
He emphasised that rising Islamophobia that continues to display dire consequence for Muslims, needs urgent attention. He accentuated on atrocities being committed against Muslims in Palestine and Kashmir in particular and urged to loudly present solving Rohingya refugees’, crisis and Afghan rehabilitation. “We must, in close liaison with UN Security Council converge this mission with help of world for a”.
He mentioned that United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution by consensus which was introduced by Pakistan on behalf of OIC that proclaimed March 15 as ‘International Day to Combat Islamophobia’. Thanks to Pakistan’s strong Armed Forces we were able to overcome terrorism by defeating enemies of peace. Sanjrani said that Pakistan Armed Forces role in UN peacekeeping missions during war and peace is a clear testimony to it.
Chairman Senate thanked Indonesia for dispatching humanitarian relief aid for flood affectees in Pakistan. He acknowledged contributions by Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bin Salman, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar for supporting youth and bring about IT revolutions in his country and beyond.
He congratulated People’s Consultative Assembly of Republic of Indonesia for taking lead in creation of synchronised forum with OIC, Parliamentary Union of OIC and Muslim World League to maximise results.
