Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk opens 'Faces of Pakistan' Exhibition

Islamabad:  Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk and National Library of Belarus announced opening of exhibition 'Faces of Pakistan' at iconic building of National Library here will continue to June 30, 2023. Senior Deputy Minister of Culture of Republic of Belarus along with Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan cut red ribbons inaugurating exhibition. Almost 150 dignitaries including parliamentarians, ambassadors, businessmen, and media representatives attended event.

Exhibition showcases exceptional works of renowned Pakistani Watercolour Artist Imran Khan and Visual Artist Zaineb Khan, as well as talented photographers Adeel Chishti and Asmar Hussain.

Exhibition also showcases traditional household items, including ceramic vases, cutlery, napkins, miniature sculptures, onyx, wood, copper and hand-embroidered products.

This is encouraging visitors to contemplate meanings behind symbols, worldviews and unique aspects of everyday life. Event also featured mesmerising musical performances that added an extra dimension to cultural experience. Tatiana Kremis, talented artist, entertained audience with beautiful Urdu song.

Event also highlighted exceptional talent of violinist duet Neringa and Diana, who graced stage with their enchanting instrumental performance. Guests were treated to an exquisite culinary experience, indulging in variety of traditional Pakistani delicacies, immersing them in its culinary traditions and cultural richness. Embassy of Pakistan takes pride in hosting this art exhibition and cultural extravaganza, which serves as testament to deep-rooted artistic heritage and cultural tapestry of Pakistan.  Exhibition is being held as part of celebrations of Independence Day of Pakistan, which offers captivating journey into diverse culture, rich heritage and vibrant traditions encapsulated in unique and colourful faces of Pakistani people. Event aims to promote distinctiveness of Pakistan among residents of Belarus and tourists, fostering cultural exchange and appreciation.

Cultural fabric of Pakistan is characterised by harmonious blend of styles, profound depth and subtle symbolism, which is beautifully reflected in portraits of its people and iconic architectural structures that symbolise its heritage.

Embassy expresses its gratitude to all participants, artists, musicians and guests who contributed to success of this event.
