Islamabad: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah asserted that general elections should be held across country at same time. Addressing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers’ convention here, he said his “Party is fully prepared” for elections. He added that they were not afraid of elections.

Sanaullah’s remarks came hours after Election Commission of Pakistan excused itself from holding consultations with President Arif Alvi on elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Firing fresh salvo at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan over his “Jail Bharo Tehreek” Sanaullah said that government’s response would be “Far beyond his imagination. Khan’s agenda is to push country towards chaos and anarchy. “Khan launched court arrest campaign but on other hand he hid in bunker,” he took a jibe at PTI leader.

He said, “Political workers would not be kept in jails. Only those people would be imprisoned who wanted to create anarchy and disorder in country.”

He vowed that Khan would not be given any other opportunity to spread further chaos and anarchy in country. Referring to “Jail Bharo Tehreek” he said that only “Imrani Gang” would be sent to jail who was harming country. Turning his guns yet again towards President Arif Alvi, Sanaullah said that he refused to approve “Mini-budget” ordinance so that government could not reach deal with International Monetary Fund.
