It is inevitable to make some amendments to Constitution to strengthen country through empowering common man, he added.

Emphasising necessary amends to existing laws, Dr Siddiqui announced that his political party proposed three constitutional amendments to give legal cover to municipal, city and district-level governments. Politico sought full legal protection for all local governments by mentioning those institutions under its power in Constitution.

MQM-P, he said, won’t accept powerless democracy in country anymore. He said that his party presented its political and electoral manifesto, suggesting solution to all political and economic crises by strengthening true democracy in country.

Dr Farooq Sattar senior deputy convener announced that draft bill had been proposed for all state institutions. He stressed that just taxation system must be introduced in country in which rich and poor pay equal taxes.

He vowed to launch new project for eliminating scarcity of water in Karachi which would be completed in four years. Senior deputy convener Mustafa Kamal said that MQM-P’s manifesto was not just bunch of documents highlighting country’s core issues but giving practical solution.
