LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that he will continue to extend support to Imran Khan. Former Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Afzal Sahi called on former Punjab Chief Minister, during which Elahi said, “Right now Imran Khan is nation’s only hope. Current situation will be decisive in terms of country’s future.”

Firing fresh salvo at political opponents, Elahi said, “Pakistan Democratic Movement cannot put obstacles on Imran’s way. Government resorts to negative propaganda by which in international community, country’s image is suffering badly.” He claimed that government was sending message to world that country had been taken hostage by terrorists. “Incumbent government was of view that country was not in position to hold elections in one province. When government itself resorts to such negative propaganda, who in country will invest,” Elahi berated coalition government.

Accusing government of “Betraying masses”, he claimed, “Government is escaping elections and dodging 220 million people of country.”

“India is reaping benefits of Shehbaz Sharif-led government’s anti-state narrative. This is India’s narrative that Pakistan has become most dangerous country of world,” he maintained. Speaking about United States, Elahi claimed, “United States too realises its mistake”.
