LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Parvez Elahi claimed that his party had restarted talks with its old allies, including Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan.
In his statement, former Punjab Chief Minister went on to claim MQM-P was of view there was no benefit to continuing to extend support to Pakistan Democratic Movement. “Balochistan government and GDA are also having reservations over government’s anti-state policies,” Elahi claimed. In connection with alliance, PTI Chairman Imran Khan will reveal next strategy after summoning meeting of all parties, he added. Bashing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo Nawaz Sharif, Elahi said, “Cabinet meeting has been presided over by absconder Nawaz Sharif, which is big joke with nation and institutions of state.” Elahi said PDM’s tactics of delaying elections will be thwarted.
He took jibe at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and accused him of “Transforming agricultural province Punjab into Ethiopia.”
