Elahi advises politicians to secure protective bails before elections

ISLAMABAD: PTI President Parvez Elahi advised all politicians to seek protective bails before general elections keeping in view current political situation.

Speaking to reporters on occasion of his appearance in Anti-Terrorism court (ATC), he complained that he was sick because of jail's meal and medical facilities also were not up to mark.

Former Punjab Chief Minister said that high inflation in country had almost shattered man in street, adding that PML-N leaders Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif were responsible for exorbitant power tariffs.

He said as entire system of country was at standstill owing to delay in general elections, all politicians should secure protective bails before polls.

When asked if he would be released from jail before polls, PTI leader told reporter that "Only Allah Almighty knows best about his release".

Elahi further said that he was unable to comment over any backdoor talks with PTI Chairman, adding he [Elahi] met Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain again.

As for question about Nawaz Sharif's return, Elahi said he had heard new date of Sharif's return to country.
