Efforts needed for success of Pakistan: Distt Gov Rotary

Karachi: Newly elected District Governor of Rotary International District 3271 Muhammad Hanif Khan took charge of post. Later, he visited Mazar-e-Quaid and laid wreaths and recorded his comments in visitors’ feedback book.

District Secretary Muhammad Asif Makati, former Secretary Raza Tabish Farooqui, District Trainer Rear Admiral (retd) Tanveer Ahmed, Deputy Governor Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain, Syed Turab Shah, Ali Azmat, PDG Dr. Aftab Imam, Deputy Governor Zubair Boyeja, Past Deputy Governor Durdaana Arshad, Lubna Khalid, Rahim, Lubna Panjwani, Syed Kashif Rafi, Nouman Safdar while RCK Nexus IPP Muhammad Ali Haider, Aslam Khaliq, Rotarian and Rotaract members were present.

School children paid homage to father of nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah by hoisting flag of Pakistan, participants visited different parts of shrine and inspected items used by Quaid-e-Azam kept in museum.

Hanif Khan we should hold Pakistan’s head high and for success, lot of efforts have to be made to rid country of poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and health problems as well as energy crisis.

He said that Rotary International is trying to eliminate polio, thalassemia and other deadly diseases from country, all of which Rotarians organise free medical camps and blood donation camps to provide best health facilities to poor people.

He said that Rotary International is creating more and more Rotary Clubs to achieve its goals so that more charitable works can be done together and efforts should be made to solve basic problems faced by people, especially in rural areas.

Tanveer Ahmed said that Rotary International is providing tube wells, water filter plants and solar energy in these rural areas to provide clean drinking water to people. So that their standard of living is high while also assisting in establishing cattle farms for agriculture and breeding of livestock.

He congratulated all Interact, Rotaract and Rotarian newly elected governors and informed them about new project of Rotary International District 3271.
