Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) de-notified former Prime Minister Imran from six National Assembly seats that PTI Chairman won last year during by-elections. According to notification issued by electoral watchdog, which it posted on its official Twitter account, Imran has been de-notified from NA-22 Mardan-III, NA-24 Charsadda-II, NA-31 Peshawar-V, NA-108 Faisalabad-VIII, NA-118 Nankana Sahib-II, NA-Korangi Karachi-I seats.

Last month, ECP decided to issue notification confirming PTI chief's victory in by-elections on seven National Assembly seats that were earlier withheld for his alleged failure to submit party's funding details to electoral body. Five-member ECP body headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja announced decision that was reserved on December 20 last year.

Electoral watchdog had taken notice of Imran's failure to submit details of expenses incurred during by-polls and subsequently withheld notification of his victory over non-compliance with commission's orders.
