KARACHI: Economic team headed by caretaker Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar left for Morocco. Caretaker Finance Minister and State Bank Governor departed from Karachi while Finance Secretary left for Morocco from Islamabad.

According to sources in Ministry of Finance, economic team will participate in annual meetings of World Bank and IMF. Finance Secretary, Governor State Bank is accompanied by caretaker Finance Minister, economic team is scheduled to meet with MDIMF, World Bank President, Asian Development Bank officials.

Sources said that caretaker Finance Minister will discuss sale of bonds in the international market along with economic team.

Meetings with Chinese Finance Minister, Saudi Finance Minister, Moody’s Official are also scheduled. In sideline meetings, MDIMF loan programme will be discussed. As per schedule, annual meetings of World Bank and IMF are starting from October 9.
