EC extends date till March 14 for holding intra party election by PML-N

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission (EC) has given more time to PML-N for holding intra party election till March 14.

Chief Election Commissioner during hearing of case on non-holding intra party election remarked intra party election in all parties except few   are joke. PML-N should at least hold joke election.

Case came up for hearing before EC. Counsel for PML-N appeared in court and took plea they want to hold intra party polls. But Shehbaz Sharif and his party were busy in political matters since 2022. Intra party election were delayed on Shehbaz Sharif becoming Prime Minister.

CEC remarked if party president is PM then they would have made President someone else. It is not known even to PML-N that intra party election will take place when.

Counsel for PML-N said that they will hold intra party election till January 31.

Election Commission member Punjab Babar Bharwana said electoral symbol will be withdrawn if intra party election is not held till February 1.
