DRAP fixes prices of life-saving drugs

LAHORE: Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has fixed prices of 20 different life-saving drugs, it emerged. Drugs which prices are fixed are used for treating cancer drugs, AIDS and blood pressure (different mgs). DRAP has released a formal notification regarding fixation of medicine prices after getting approval from Cabinet.

According to notification, price of drug treating lungs cancer was fixed at Rs 172,320. Price of breast cancer medicine was set at Rs 199,741. Moreover, Xlatan tablet 50mcg eye drops price was fixed at Rs 1,519.

Meanwhile Zofran 8mg tablet price was set at Rs 3,907. Lastly, price of Aclasta 100ml solution fixed at 27,514. –Online
