Karachi: Administrator DMC east Syed Shakeel Ahmed said that since forecast of rains in April officials have been on roads. After recent rains in city, roads and streets where rainwater accumulated ha been cleared while drains under supervision of DMC east have also been de-silted.

Inspecting work of cleaning drain around Disco Bakery, Lemo Goth and Civic Centre and near Bagh Rizwan in Gulshan-e-Iqbal he directed officials to make arrangements to dispose silt coming out after cleaning drains immediately. No dirt should be seen anywhere after drains are cleaned, he said.

First priority is to save people from trouble. Officials briefed him about drain cleaning in district and informed that work is being done on daily basis regarding drain cleaning, which will be completed soon.

Focal Person Imtiaz Bhutto, Deputy Director DM Irshad Ali and Assistant Executive Engineer, Rashid Fayyaz and others were present.
