Karachi: Dr. Ziauddin Hospital denies allegation of illegal water connection for hospital located in North Nazimabad. Dr. Ziauddin Hospital is a reliable institution of health care provider of Pakistan, which has been conspired to politicise by making such baseless accusations.

 In month of May this year, Dr. Ziauddin Hospital had obtained a formal permit for drinking water line 2 inch dia from 48 inch nubs, from KWSB against a challan of Rs 8,792,850. A challan of Rs19,93,966 was also submitted for road cutting. No illegal act has been done by hospital for water connection. Water connection work was started only after fulfilling all legal requirements.

 Chairman Dr. Ziauddin Hospital and former Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Hussain  is a well-known political and social personality, who has been engaged in development work in central district for past several months. Allegations of illegal water connection are actually to disrupt and somehow stop development works in Central District, which is behind some political opponents. There are also some elements who are among opponents of head of Dr Ziauddin Hospital and do not want development work to be done in central district under his supervision. In name of illegal water connection, residents of North Nazimabad were incited to unnecessary protests and attempts were made to defame hospital and its head.

 Many multi-storied high-rise buildings have been constructed in North Nazimabad and more are under construction, but no one has asked builder mafia about water access for high-rise buildings. Has anyone protested for water connection going to these buildings? Have so-called political parties ever raised any voice against these builder mafias and their operatives? In fact, opponents are afraid of head of Dr Ziauddin Hospital, who is actively working to make central district a model district, so a conspiracy is being made to defame him by making propaganda against him.

It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Asim Hussain is consistently making all-out efforts to turn District Central, one of the best Districts in Karachi for which he has already taken on board all the concerned to ensure maximum development, revitalizing of the infrastructure including roads, potholes, street lights, plantation and etc. Not only this, but also to end the menace of corruption he has been taking considerable steps through collective efforts of the administration of District Central with an only intent to bring comfort to the residents in the best possible manner.
