Dr. Shafaq Akhtar represented Pakistan in international beauty pageant MISS AURA INTERNATIONAL 2022, which took place in Antalya, Turkey.

This was first time Pakistan was represented in Turkey. Dr. Shafaq Akhtar competed with 35 other nations and came in top 20 round. She also won title of Miss Rixos Resort, where resort awarded her title of brand ambassador.  Pakistan is surely but slowly making a mark in beauty pageant industry and hopefully Dr. Shafaq Akhtar will be representing Pakistan in Miss Universe in coming year. Sonia Ahmed, President of Miss Pakistan talking exclusively to Daily National Courier said, "We are very honoured and happy that Pakistan has won a title in Turkey which is our sister country and we are very proud of fact that Pakistan was represented very well. I hope Dr. Shafaq Akhtar will make Pakistan's name more prominent in beauty pageant industry because Pakistan needs that representation especially in today's world."
