Dr Asim inaugurates 50th park, praises DC Taha’s efforts

KARACHI: Senior leader Pakistan Peoples’ Party and former Petroleum Minister Dr. Asim Hussain inaugurated 50th Park to be offered to public after reconstruction under the umbrella of 100 parks project in Central District. Gardens, which were being restored after reconstruction celebrated their Golden Jubilee. Talking to media Dr. Asim said that Pakistan Peoples’ Party is party of masses and service and welfare of people is its primary goal. Dr Asim said that he is serving District by being above politics.
He said that people should also cooperate in restoration works of District. Expressed his continued cooperation to improve all basic amenities in District Central to bring maximum comfort to the residents.
Dr Asim also said that Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem and his team deserves appreciation for fruitful projects and services carried out in Central District at right time. DC efforts needs to be praised for preparation of parks for public entertainment, beautification of various areas of central district and daring operation against encroachments and illegal structures, Dr Asim added.
Speaking on the ocassion, Taha Saleem thanked Dr. Asim for his valuable support for welfare of people and employees of Central Municipality. Later, Dr. Asim Hussain and Taha Saleem laid floral wreath on renowned singer and emperor of ghazal Mehdi Hassan’s renovated tomb and offered fateha.
Total of 6 parks were inaugurated-Rahman Park Nazimabad No. 3, Rani Bagh North Nazimabad Block H, Osman Ghani Park Gulbarg Block 9, Sharif Shaheed Park Sector 5E New Karachi, Akhot Felmi Park Nazimabad No. 1, KDA Chowrangi Park North Nazimabad. To provide civic services, officers and staff of central municipality are engaged in services day and night. Under direction of Taha Saleem, in operation against illegal encroachments, hundreds acres of government land is handed over to concerned departments while continuous action is being taken against illegal profiteers and hoarders.
