Dr. Asim Hussain, former Advisor of the Prime Minister for the Ministry of Oil and Natural Resources, is a former member of the Senate of Pakistan from the Pakistan People’s Party. In recognition of his services to the nation in the fields of education and health care he was conferred with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Nishan-e-Imtiaz respectively.

In his greeting message, Dr. Asim Hussain said Eid ul Fitr is the most beautiful gift at the end of Ramadan ul Mubarak that reminds us to thank Almighty Allah for his blessings of the holy month. The fasting month not only purifies the health of the Muslims but also increases their capabilities of temperament and emotional control. The month-long practice of thirst and hunger has been appreciated even by non-Muslim medical researchers and scientists. Hence, we must bow down to this great kindness from the God Almighty and keep ourselves active throughout the whole year.
