Karachi: Senior Pakistan Peoples’ Party leader and former Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Husain expressed his deep sorrow over tragic road accident between sleeper bus and an oil tanker in which at least 20 people were killed and six others injured near Bahawalpur on M-5 Motorway.

Dr Asim said, “I am saddened on this incident as innocent people lost lives while many others sustained injuries, may Allah grant fortitude to bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss and pray for early recovery of injured passengers”.

He was of the view that such incident could be avoided if we drive with patience and show no hurry as human lives are precious and we should think twice over this especially when driving on highways. He also prayed for departed souls and prayed for early recovery of injured persons.

Dr Asim said that injured should be given best of health facilities while administration should compensate families of deceased and injured. He prayed, “May Allah keep our nation and people away from catastrophes and natural calamities as people of Sindh, Balochistan and KP are facing  hardship due to flooding in monsoon season”.
