KARACHI: Former President Asif Ali Zardari’s health is much better than before and will be discharged in few days, PPP co-Chairman’s personal physician Dr Asim Hussain told this scribe while refuting all fabricated and untrue reports circulating on social media.

Dr Asim who is heading medical board responsible for Asif Zardari's treatment also wrote on his official Twitter handle that he will keep update on daily basis regarding ex-president’s health and gave a shutup call to the pranksters.

 “PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari is much better and improving hale and hearty and undergoing pulmonary physio”, Dr Asim Hussain added.

Former President Zardari was admitted on complication for an infection in one of his lungs. He was admitted at Dr Ziauddin Hospital on September 27 after his health deteriorated. It must be mentioned here that yesterday social media was surrounded by countless fake news related to PPP co-Chairman’s health after which Dr Asim Hussain clarified the right position by rejecting all rumours. On October 4, Zardari was examined by a team of doctors including doctors visiting from United Arab Emirates and are specialised in respiratory diseases.

According to doctors' suggestion, Zardari's diagnosis and treatment are being carried out in right way, therefore, he does not need to be shifted abroad at moment.
