Dollars, gold recovered from Thailand-bound passengers

KARACHI: Airport Security Force (ASF) claimed to have recovered foreign currency and gold from Bangkok-bound passenger at Karachi Airport. According to report, team of ASF checking recovered 115,000 dollars, 31,000 Canadian dollars and 50 grams of gold from Raheel who set to fly to Bangkok from Jinnah International Airport Karachi. Foreign currency and gold were concealed in his bag. Accused was handed over to Customs after initial interrogation.

It may be noted that in April 2022, Customs squad recovered 65,000 dollars from possession of woman passenger at Jinnah International Airport. Passenger was set to travel to Doha when captured.
