KARACHI: DMC South awarded prizes and certificates to successful students in annual examinations of schools of Education Department of DMC South (Lyari and Sadar Zone) at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Lyari and Jamshed Ahmad Khan School Hijrat Colony.

Chief Guest Minister Shehla Raza, Administrator South Hammad ND Khan, President of PPP District South Khalil Hoat, Director Education South Mohammad Raeesi gave away awards and shields to position holders.

Shehla Raza said that it was dream of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto that education should be free and accessible for all children in country. We are determined to complete mission of our martyred leader.

Hammad ND Khan said that we consider improvement in education sector as top priority.

It would be much better if students studying in public schools, despite having abilities could not be left behind due to dual system of education that is why municipalities are adapting schools of South to requirements of modern era. He said that South municipality has honour that number of children studying in its public schools is more than other districts and reason is that we have created such an environment in our public schools from beginning to attract more students and provide them quality education due to which parents trust public schools of municipality. He invited representatives of social organisations and asked them to come and work with us for promotion of education in South district.
