Karachi: Administration of DMC South finalised arrangements for central procession on account of Youm-e-Ali on Ramadhan 21. Addressing meeting of departmental officers held in this regard, Administrator DMC South Dr. Afshan Rabab Syed said that special arrangements have been made for sanitation, road maintenance and streetlights around main procession routes, masajid, imam bargahs and meeting places.

Dr. Afshan Rabab said that people benefits from their true fruits only after timely completion of any kind of development and repair work.

“For continuous monitoring of arrangements, an emergency control room has been set up at head office of DMC South on Captain Sarwar Shaheed Road near Haqqani Chowk, she said. Adding, there should be no complaint of any kind in provision of facilities to procession, masajid, imam bargahs, congregations and places of sermons. While work of erasing objectionable posters and provocative slogans on walls and poles should be completed as soon as possible, drainage and sanitation department should also be ordered to ensure presence of staff and necessary machinery to resolve complaint of water leakage in procession routes and also ensure to cover open and broken manholes of sewerage if there are any in route of procession.
