DMC East to facilitate visitors to graveyards on Shab-e-Baraat: Administrator Shakeel

Karachi: On directives of Administrator DMC East Syed Shakeel Ahmed arrangements have been completed regarding Shab-e-Baarat in cemeteries located in district east limit.

Special arrangements have been made inside and outside cemeteries due to high traffic of public in society and Essa Nagri cemeteries. Administrator DMC East, along with focal person Imtiaz Bhutto, Deputy Director Irshad Ali and other officers inspected arrangements regarding Shab-e-Barat at Essa Nagri Cemetery.

He said that municipal facilities are being provided inside and outside graveyards of District East regarding Shab-e-Baarat, there are 29 cemeteries in both zones of  District East which are managed by KMC, but to save public from trouble, removal of encroachments around cemeteries and provision of other municipal services including lighting arrangements have been made.

He said that fumigation teams are ensuring spraying of disinfectants in graveyards so that visiting persons can be protected from harmful germs and also would provide them saplings for graves which will also gift for deceased.

He was accompanied by Directors, Tauqeer Abbas, Elahi Bakhsh, Jam Rizwan, Executive Engineer Jamal Abbas and other officers.
