District Central’s another massive anti-encroachment operation in Mujahid Colony

Karachi: Deputy Commissioner and Administrator Central District Taha Saleem said that following instructions of Supreme Court, they are taking all possible steps to ensure elimination of all kinds of encroachments from Central District.

SSP Central Maroof Usman, Assistant Commissioner Nazimabad Zainab Jahandad, Deputy Director of Enforcement KDA Jameel Baloch, Director Anti-Encroachment Baldiya Aksati Nadeem monitored ongoing operation against encroachment in Nazimabad Mujahid Colony. Director Sanitation and Focal Person Zaheer Ahmed and other officers were also present. Police said that two including a woman sustained injuries in tear-gas shelling.

They said that no one will be allowed to interfere in operation against encroachment. It will continue until complete elimination. It should be clear that operation against encroachments is being carried out in various areas of central district in light of Supreme Court orders.

During demolishing encroachments and constructions in Mujahid Colony Nazimabad, gangsters of occupation mafia harassed staff to stop operation. Attempts were made to thrash staff and they pelted stones. Due to which police used tear gas against miscreants. Notices had already been given to those doing illegal constructions in said area, but people involved in criminal activities not only stopped officials carrying out duties but also tried to stop staff members from demolishing illegal constructions.

 In operation, law enforcement agencies, K Electric and Anti Encroachments departments of KDA, KMC also participated. KMC and DMC are clearing 150 feet road in Mujahid Colony.
