Karachi: Former Petroleum Minister Dr. Asim Hussain said that he will work day and night for construction and development of Central District and make it a model district.

A dinner was organised by ‘Friends of District Central’ in honor of Dr. Asim Hussain in which members of neighbourhood committees from Central District, political and social persons, business community and people associated with show business participated.  There was discussion about development works in Central District. Participants appreciated role of Dr. Asim for timely completion of development works in District.

Dr. Asim Hussain said that in last thirty years, most development funds were released in this tenure in central district and these funds were used and will be utlised for welfare of people and improvement of infrastructure, schools, libraries and parks.  Dr. Asim further said that we are determined to work tirelessly for development and construction of Central District with aim of turning it into model district.

Businessman leader Faizan Saeed Rawat said that under leadership of Dr. Asim Hussain, development work is being done in central district without discrimination.  I will fully support whoever works for development of city and I appeal to citizens that while voting, ‘think about decisions’. A documentary based on development works in District was also shown, while Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem, Zafar Abbas, Masroor Ahsan and others addressed event.
