District Central: Samanabad police arrests street criminals

In a significant operation, the Samanabad police, under the special instructions of SSP District Central, Zeeshan Shafique Siddiqui, apprehended two street criminals involved in bike lifting.

The operation was conducted by the Samanabad police’s Mobile Guard during a patrol. The arrested individuals, identified as Ghulam Qadir son of Gulab and Qurban son of Karam Khan, confessed to stealing multiple motorcycles in various areas of Karachi during interrogation. The recovered motorcycles included a vehicle with registration number KLP-7489, stolen from the limits of Joharabad police station, and another motorcycle applied for registration from the limits of Sakhi Hassan police station. A case (FIR No. 294/2024) has been registered against the accused under the Anti-Vehicle Theft Act, and an investigation has been initiated. The police are also verifying the criminal records of the accused. This operation demonstrates the commitment of the Samanabad police to combating street crime and ensuring public safety in District Central.
