District Central Police nabs bandits, recovers booty, arms

Karachi: Rizvia Society Police arrested suspects of robbery looting a petrol pump manager in limits of Samanabad and recovered looted money.  Action was taken on basis of technical and human intelligence.

Accused included Azizullah son of Muhammad Ismail and Sohail Iqbal son of Aurangzeb looted petrol pump manager outside bank who came to deposit money. Later they fled away from scene.

Along with accused in robbery, other accomplices included Naeem alias Nono and Babar were also nabbed. Babar gave touch of incident to Sohail that Sohail, Azizullah, Naeem alias Nuno were involved in robbery incident. Accused said that they only snatched Rs 1.95 million as some currency bills fell down on ground on guard’s firing. While manager reported Rs 3 million in FIR.

Accused having previous records have been arrested before. Arrested accused confessed that they robbed retail shop in Lee Market, a scrap warehouse in Sher Shah and a tea leaf shop a month and half.

They said that Yusuf robbed chalia supplier from Goth and salesman of Pepsi in Chakiwara. Two pistols with 30 bore load magazines, Rs 7 lakhs and a stolen motorcycle from North Nazimabad were recovered from possession of arrested accused. Arms cases were registered separately against arrested accused, while arrests were also made in Samanabad case.
