Karachi: Shaheen Force in an encounter with robbers in limits of Sir Syed Police Station near Hudood Kalyana Chowk killed a bandit while other was arrested with serious injuries, police said.

Accused was identified as Wiklaj son of unknown while injured was identified as Abdur Rahman son of Noor Muhammad. Two pistols with 30 bore load magazines, six mobile phones, cash and a motorcycle were recovered from possession. Accused were taking hostages of citizens at gunpoint and snatching mobile phones, when Shaheen Force jawans engaged them.

They opened fire on police and in retaliation police opened fire. Both in injured condition were shifted to hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries. A case was registered against accused.
