District Central infrastructure to be restored with best possible facilities: Taha Saleem

KARACHI: Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District Central Taha Salim announced revolutionary plan to restore infrastructure of District.

He said that although central district is suffering from financial issues and lack of resources, but will take all possible steps to provide better urban environment to people. He said that it is necessary to provide a better urban environment to people.

 Infrastructure of district should be restored. In this regard, with support of Sindh government and KMC, work of reconstruction, repair and filling of potholes due to recent rains has been started. In first phase, B&R Department and staff is engaged in work of filling potholes on Shahrah Sher Shah Suri, Sakhi Hasan to Peoples Chowrangi and Ziauddin Chowrangi to Landi Kotal Chowrangi. Road carpeting will be done.

While illegal encroachments are being demolished under planning. He instructed relevant departments to demolish newly constructed illegal encroachments before encroachers flourish. Cooperation of SBCA, KMC and other institutions will be obtained in addition to law enforcement agencies police and Rangers. On other hand, monsoon season continues and rains continue to create more problems.

Rainwater drainage is being fixed using manpower and machinery in District. Whereas instructions have been issued to concerned officers for immediate action on complaints registered at complaint centres.
