Islamabad: Ambassador/High Commissioners of Iran, Turkiye, Morroco, Jordan, Srilanka and Brunei Darussalam called on Secretary Senate Qasim Samad Khan to discuss participation in Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Senate of Pakistan to be held in March 2023.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani had decided to hold grand ceremony on occasion of Golden Jubilee of Upper House of Parliament.

Secretary Senate Muhammad Qasim Samad Khan apprised Ambassadors that Golden Jubilee celebrations are of great historical significance.

Upper House has played an important role in creating harmony among provincial units. He invited ambassadors/High Commissioners to participate in golden jubilee celebrations as Pakistan marks this milestone of its Parliamentary history. He requested ambassadors/High Commission to use their good offices to confirm participate of heads of their respective participants in golden jubilee celebration.

Ambassadors/High Commissioners thanked Secretary Senate for invitation and praised efforts of Senate Secretariat to take representatives of friendly countries on board.
