‘Diplomatic passport issued to Nawaz Sharif, arrival back to country soon’

ISLAMABAD: Government of Pakistan has issued diplomatic passport to former three-time PM and supremo PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, currently in self-exile in London. Well-placed sources revealed that passport was issued after final confirmation by Foreign Ministry. Passport has been issued for a time patch of five years, according to sources.

According to sources, passport was sent by Passport and Immigration office. It is pertinent to mention here that Nawaz's passport was suspended by previous PTI government after former Prime Minister was declared absconder in a corruption case.

Sources said that Nawaz will be receiving his diplomatic passport today while he had already received his common passport earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Process to appoint new Army Chief is likely to start next week, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif decided in a meeting held here. Prime Minister who is in Britain held meeting with his elder brother and former PM Nawaz Sharif. During meeting, it was decided that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan this year. A diplomatic passport has also been issued to former PM.

Sources privy to meeting suggests that important decisions have been made in meeting. It was also decided in meeting that government won't be pressurised by long march and marchers will be dealt according to law. Sources further said that PM Shehbaz will make important appointment in stipulated time and will meet coalition partners after returning to country next week.

Maryam Nawaz, Khawaja Asif, Malik Ahmed, Salman Shehbaz and Hussain Shehbaz were also present in meeting which continued for over three hours.
