DIG Maqsood urges under training ASPs to achieve high standards

Karachi: Under training ASPs of 49th Specialised Training Programme and 27th Initial Command Course visited Special Security Unit Headquarters and appreciated professional standard maintained in management, administration and counter terrorism operations.

SP SSU Azhar Mughal briefed delegation about performance of various sections of SSU, country’s first Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T) and advanced professional training imparted to commandos. 

DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed chairing meeting emphasised need that Pakistan police should improve their ability through human resources, recruitment and modern trainings to meet highest international standards of modern policing. DIG informed under-training ASPs about large-scaled flood relief activities conducted by Security Division during recent devastated floods in Sindh. Security Division established a grand medical camp in Dadu. 

He said that Commandos of SSU have been provided different professional trainings from various institutions including Army training centres to make them physically fit with modern skills to challenge any untoward situation.
