DG SFA, Chief CRPC discuss sub-standard bakery products

Karachi: Chairman Consumers’ Rights Protection Council (CRPC) Pakistan Shakeel Ahmed Baig in meeting with Director General Sindh Food Authority (SFA) Agha Fakar Hussain informed him that most of medium and small size bakeries and confectioners are selling products not according to standard of SFA rules and regulation. He asked DG SFA that under such situation it should be imperative to take action against such outlets in Sindh and particularly in Karachi to save health of consumers.

He said that these outlets are not maintaining hygiene standards as well as they are using sub- standard food ingredients and condiments in preparing products which in return harming health of consumers.
