ISLAMABAD: Director General of Intelligence Bureau (DG IB) Fawad Asadullah Khan met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and presented him annual performance report of organisation. Shehbaz Sharif commended Intelligence Bureau’s role in Pakistan’s security and sovereignty and in thwarting internal and external threats to country.

Expressing satisfaction with IB’s performance, PM Sharif said IB successfully fulfilled all additional tasks, he had assigned to organisation to protect national interests. He said Bureau played pivotal role in elimination of criminal activities and terrorism in country.

He said IB has always been at forefront of providing timely and credible information for accurate decision-making.

He appreciated professionalism of Fawad Asadullah Khan and his efforts to enhance performance of agency. Besides, he paid rich tribute to martyrs of Intelligence Bureau. He said nation is proud of its martyrs for presenting supreme sacrifice in defence of motherland.
