Karachi: Saeed Sarbazi of Democrats Panel was elected President with 845 votes while Shoaib Ahmed was elected as Secretary with 843 votes.

In Karachi Press Club Annual Elections 2024, Democrat s Panel dashed hopes of Independent Panel and Journalist Panel. Democrats swept panel for 14th time in row, polling on Saturday from 9am to 5pm saw lot of excitement.

Large number of Press Club members took part in polling process. Dr. Tauseef Ahmad Khan head of Election Committee announced results at Karachi Press Club. According to results, Saeed Sarbazi with 845 votes while his opponent Aftab Hussain got 110 votes. Shoaib Ahmed was elected Secretary with 843 votes while his competitor Arif Khan got 96 votes.

Abdul Rashid Memon got 758 votes on post of Vice President, Ehtsham Saeed Qureshi, Muhammad Munsif, Shams Careo, Munasadiqi, Shazia Hassan, Nawab Qureshi, Shoaib Ahmed, Rana Javed and Noor Muhammad Kalhoro were declared successful on 7 seats of governing body.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, senior journalists, government, political, social personalities congratulated elected cabinet.
