Demi Moore has earned her first-ever Academy Award nomination for her performance in ‘The Substance,’ following standout awards season.

Oscar nominations for 2025 were revealed, surprising fans with some unexpected picks. Moore, 62, is included in Best Actress category, alongside Cynthia Erivo for ‘Wicked,’ Mikey Madison for ‘Anora,’ Fernanda Torres for ‘I’m Still Here,’ and Karla Sofía Gascón for ‘Emilia Pérez.’  Meanwhile, Timothée Chalamet garnered Best Actor nomination for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in biopic ‘A Complete Unknown,’ competing with Adrien Brody for ‘The Brutalist,’ Ralph Fiennes for ‘Conclave,’ Colman Domingo for ‘Sing Sing,’ and Sebastian Stan for ‘The Apprentice.’ In the Best Supporting Actress category, Ariana Grande earned her first Oscar nomination for ‘Wicked,’ where she faces fierce competition from Monica Barbaro, Felicity Jones, Isabella Rossellini, and Zoe Saldana. ‘The Substance’ also made history as the seventh horror film ever nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars.
