Delegation of Pakistan Baitul Mal Sindh meets with Sindh Gov

Karachi: A delegation of Pakistan Baitul Mal Sindh met Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori at Governor’s House. In meeting, Tessori was briefed on ongoing projects of Pakistan Baitul Mal in province, procedure of financial assistance to deserving persons and other related issues.

Governor said that Bait-ul-Mal projects should be made more beneficial for people. He said that process of issuing funds for individual financial assistance and medical treatment should be accelerated. He said that Sweet Homes of Baitul Mal are doing good work, he will visit them soon.

Earlier, in a briefing to Governor, it was told that 32 offices of Pakistan Baitul Mal are working in province, 9 of which are in Karachi, 34 centres for women. Eight sweet homes for children and 6 shelters for destitute people. Governor was informed that 38 schools are also functioning under Baitul Mal for rehabilitation of child labour.

Director of Pakistan Baitul-Mal Dr. Adnan Majeed told Governor that financial assistance is provided up to Rs one million to cancer patients and Rs 600,000 to those suffering from other diseases.
